The “Make Kindness Contagious” theme is now spreading beyond its origins from a child named Natasha in Anaheim by sticking to TAIT’s truck bumpers wherever they ride. After our kind CEO and former Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait’s kindness presentation to the company in February, our own compliance technician Adolfo Aguilar decided to spread kindness from our office to all over the roads of California! Adolfo suggested getting the kindness bumper sticker to place on TAIT service trucks, and we thought it was the perfect idea for all TAIT vehicles. (more…)

We did it again, thanks to our associates! TAIT & Associates ranked an exciting 12th place for a mid-size company in Orange County Register’s Top 140 Workplaces in Orange County for 2018. In March 2018, TAIT & Associates’ Santa Ana office was happy to participate again in Anaheim Union High School District’s AIME Mentoring Program. Twelve students from Anaheim High School came to visit the office to hear about what we do and career advice from TAIT engineers and associates. Topics discussed included what a civil engineer is; the positive change civil engineers can make; the process of engineering from concept to construction; benefits of being a civil engineer; and having pride in your work. Many of the upperclassmen students are interested in engineering and were eager to hear how TAIT associates found their way to careers at TAIT within the engineering field.
TAIT kicked off the beginning of 2018 with our annual management meeting to come together, celebrate successes, and plan for the future. Managers and directors from across TAIT offices, spanning from California to Texas, met at the headquarters in Santa Ana and went on to the main event held at the Santa Ana Country Club. During the meeting, leaders talked about the values, culture and goals the company has both met and wants to continue growing in the coming years. A major theme was the way TAIT prides itself on having a “small company culture and big company expertise.” (more…)

The TAIT Boise office was happy to welcome another kindergarten class field trip from Lowell Elementary! Ms. Auston brought the new kindergarteners to learn about Architecture and Engineering from our Boise office experts. On top of already being one of Engineering News Record (ENR) California’s Top 2016 firms, ENR has also given one of TAIT’s projects a 2016 Best Projects Award: the Del Amo Fashion Center Renovation won Best Project in the Renovation/Restoration category. TAIT provided a variety of engineering and development services for Phase 1 of the project, as well as preliminary engineering design for a Phase 2 expansion. Our own Mike Silvey was an integral part of managing TAIT’s services for Del Amo from concept to completion. The project was honored at their Best Projects Awards October Event in Los Angeles on stage, and is highlighted in ENR California’s October 3rd issue.
TAIT is happy to announce the promotion of Project Manager David Sloan to Director of Engineering. At home base in our Santa Ana headquarters, David has been a strong force as a Project Manager for the past two years, winning new projects and driving them to successful completion, while motivating his teammates along the way.
