TAIT & Associates, Inc. is back to school with our Boise, ID office, in which we recently facilitated “A Day in the Life” event with a group of local elementary school students. The students had the opportunity to learn what it is like to be a TAIT associate for the day. Topics discussed included what an architect/engineer is, the positive impacts they can make, and having pride in your work. Many of the inspiring students are interested in architecture & engineering, and TAIT’s Boise team was delighted to host them for a day at the office!

Here at TAIT we are passionate about designing infrastructure needed for clean water throughout the communities we serve. We’re proud to join forces with Wine To Water, a non-profit organization that transforms lives through the power of clean water in third world countries. While our engineers design pipelines to distribute clean water for our modern first world, Wine To Water brings water filtration systems to deliver clean water to people who would otherwise need to walk miles to reach it. In October 2019 we held our very first Wine To Water Filter Build Program event that gave associates throughout our local and regional offices a team building activity with a big global impact.
One of our very own associates, Paul McCarter, PG with TAIT Environmental Services, was picked up in a CenturyLink Helicopter from the TAIT Loveland Office parking lot to fly to the Whiskey Mountain. He flew to Riverton, Wyoming where they stopped to refuel and spent two hours sampling for an old diesel spill at Whiskey Mountain. He then flew back to Lander, Wyoming to refuel one last time and headed back to the TAIT Loveland Office parking lot. He was able to fly about 300 miles and finish his sampling all in one day!

In August 2019, associates at the Santa Ana office celebrated the 55th Anniversary of TAIT & Associates! We enjoyed a nice BBQ Luncheon outside in the courtyard that was accompanied by the founder, Kenneth Tait and his wife. Throughout the 55 years at TAIT, we have been constantly growing but continue to make sure we uphold our TAIT Values & Goals. As Tom Tait said, “The good days are not behind us!” We still have a lot of room for growth and we can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for us!
Jason Morris, who recently received a promotion to Project Engineer at TAIT’s Santa Ana office, is one of our outstanding associates earning this spotlight to showcase some fun facts about his background and personality. We sat down and asked Jason some serious (and not so serious) questions about his professional career thus far and his unique interests and talents outside of the office: (more…)
TAIT’s Santa Ana office colleagues participated in the OC Marathon Corporate Challenge’s 5k and Half Marathon events. The company with the highest level of participation in each division won a special award for their office and was publically recognized by the OC Marathon in email and social media. Of all the mid-sized companies, TAIT placed 4th overall, which is pretty amazing! The TAIT team had a practice running schedule every week leading up to the event to help prepare those who participated.
The “Make Kindness Contagious” theme is now spreading beyond its origins from a child named Natasha in Anaheim by sticking to TAIT’s truck bumpers wherever they ride. After our kind CEO and former Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait’s kindness presentation to the company in February, our own compliance technician Adolfo Aguilar decided to spread kindness from our office to all over the roads of California! Adolfo suggested getting the kindness bumper sticker to place on TAIT service trucks, and we thought it was the perfect idea for all TAIT vehicles. (more…)
We did it again, thanks to our associates! TAIT & Associates ranked an exciting 12th place for a mid-size company in Orange County Register’s Top 140 Workplaces in Orange County for 2018. It's a big jump up from previous 2016 and 2017 wins, and we are honored to be featured among other top work places throughout the County once again. “It is truly because of all of the amazing people here at this company that we are able to share in this accomplishment,” Managing Director, Trevor Tait says of the award. “Without every associate contributing in a such a unique and meaningful way, we would not be able to accomplish things like this.” (more…)
In March 2018, TAIT & Associates’ Santa Ana office was happy to participate again in Anaheim Union High School District’s AIME Mentoring Program. Twelve students from Anaheim High School came to visit the office to hear about what we do and career advice from TAIT engineers and associates. Topics discussed included what a civil engineer is; the positive change civil engineers can make; the process of engineering from concept to construction; benefits of being a civil engineer; and having pride in your work. Many of the upperclassmen students are interested in engineering and were eager to hear how TAIT associates found their way to careers at TAIT within the engineering field.
TAIT kicked off the beginning of 2018 with our annual management meeting to come together, celebrate successes, and plan for the future. Managers and directors from across TAIT offices, spanning from California to Texas, met at the headquarters in Santa Ana and went on to the main event held at the Santa Ana Country Club. During the meeting, leaders talked about the values, culture and goals the company has both met and wants to continue growing in the coming years. A major theme was the way TAIT prides itself on having a “small company culture and big company expertise.” (more…)
