On July 31, 2019, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Superfund Redevelopment Initiative (SRI), which has the goal of returning formerly contaminated lands to long-term sustainable and productive reuse for communities. The Monterey Park Market Place Shopping Center was one of the places recognized for the successful reuse accomplished. TAIT was honored to have been the Engineer of Record for this development and to have been able to commemorate with EPA for their 20th anniversary of the SRI.
