TAIT kicked off the beginning of 2018 with our annual management meeting to come together, celebrate successes, and plan for the future. Managers and directors from across TAIT offices, spanning from California to Texas, met at the headquarters in Santa Ana and went on to the main event held at the Santa Ana Country Club. During the meeting, leaders talked about the values, culture and goals the company has both met and wants to continue growing in the coming years. A major theme was the way TAIT prides itself on having a “small company culture and big company expertise.” (more…)

TAIT’s Denver office colleagues started off the 2016 summer season right by enjoying nature’s playground during a wild rafting ride in the Poudre River! With tour guides from Rocky Mountain Adventures, it was a thrilling 4 hour trip on the Mishawaka Falls part of the river in class III and IV rapids. For those of us who aren’t experts in river rapid class categories, let’s just say they were intense. Fun was had by all and all lived to tell the tale.
The TAIT & Associates architectural office in Boise, Idaho was lucky enough to host a few fans from Ms. Auston's Lowell Elementary kindergarten class for the day. The excited kindergarteners visited the office for an educational field trip where they cycled through work stations learning about 3-D modeling, using various instruments to measure and label the interior of a room, and drawing the front elevation of their own houses using drafting tools. To top it off, they got to dress up as field surveyors for a fun photo op to showcase their new skills. “This is by far the best field trip ever, and I’ve been teaching a long time!” Ms. Auston said of the day with TAIT.

During the past 2015 hot summer season, TAIT associates participated in the company’s yearly softball team and lived up to their team name, “Just for Fun”, by having a ball! They dedicated their time and energy to playing every Tuesday night from July to September at the Tustin Sports Park in Tustin, CA, running through ten challenging games against other co-ed company teams. Although they only won two games this season, they had a number of close-game nail biters. This suspense and a great team spirit kept them motivated until the end.
TAIT & Associates caught some fresh ocean air and plenty of fish on their recent fishing trip with fellow TAITs and clients. On a boat called, “Fury”, they embarked out of Dana Point Harbor and traveled off the coast of Santa Barbara to fish at Osborn Banks. They enjoyed a nearly 24 hour trip in warm weather, having breakfast, lunch and drinks, and caught a whopping 88 yellowfin and 12 skipjack tuna. Jake Vandervis, Vice President and COO of TAIT, recalls how “Michael (TAIT Project Engineer) was pulling in a skipjack and just as he got it to the boat, a seal grabbed it and took off!” Looks like the fishermen weren’t the only ones having a good time.
TAIT's softball team gets their first win of the season, bringing their record to 1-2 for the year. While the team got off to a rocky start, they really seem to be finding their stride as their first win was a lights out performance in every aspect. TAIT's Director of Entitlements, Mike McFarland, put on a show on the mound, striking out several batters on the opposing team. Team Captain and Civil Engineer, Samantha McGee, showed off her softball skills at shortstop with some spectacular plays. Overall, it was a great team win.
